Applying takes about 15 minutes

Once you’ve firmly accepted your Abertay offer, you're eligible to apply for a room at Parker House at our preferential rate. If our preferential allocation has already been filled, you can book directly with iQ or choose another provider — we’ll explain both routes below.

Route 1: Booking Parker House at our preferential rate

This is available while our allocation lasts. We’ll email you when booking opens (typically in Spring).

Before you start, you’ll need:

• Your Abertay student ID number (from your offer letter)

• A UK-based — someone who agrees to cover your rent if you can’t.

The process

1. We email you when booking opens, with a direct link to the iQ portal for Abertay’s preferential allocation.

2. Choose your room. All rooms are en suite with bills included.

3. Provide your guarantor details. Your guarantor receives an email to confirm. This must be completed before your booking is finalised.

4. Receive your booking confirmation from iQ with your room details, move-in date, and everything you need.

Route 2: Booking accommodation after our preferential allocation is filled

If our preferential-rate rooms have been allocated, you have two options:

• Book at Parker House at iQ’s standard rate. Â鶹ԭ´´ and book directly. Same building, same rooms, same all-bills-included package — just at iQ’s published price. The process is the same as above, but you’ll book through iQ’s general website rather than Abertay’s exclusive link.

• Choose another Dundee provider. See our list of alternative accommodation options for other providers across the city.

Either way, email sro@abertay.ac.uk if you need help. We’ll make sure you’re not stuck.

Clearing students

If you receive your offer through Clearing in August, preferential-rate rooms may still be available — it depends on uptake. Either way, Parker House or other Dundee providers may have rooms at standard rates.

Care leavers or additional support needs

If you're a care leaver or have a disability where you need additional support, please contact our advisory team to discuss your needs before booking your accommodation. Please put 'Accommodation additional support' in the email subject line.

Abertay has no control over the room allocation for other groups.

Please note: you must have FIRMLY ACCEPTED your Abertay offer before you can apply for accommodation.
