Located next to our teaching buildings in our city centre campus, the Bernard King Library offers a variety of flexible, modern spaces to accommodate all learning styles. A 拢4 million refurbishment in 2017 has provided four floors of open plan study space, making the library a popular place for independent learning 鈥 and you may find it becomes your 鈥榮econd home鈥 during your time with us.
As well as access to thousands of printed books, the library聽provides a significant bank of electronic resources, including eBooks, online journals and specialist databases. High quality wifi is available throughout the library. There鈥檚 also a good mix of open access PCs, together with areas to work if you want to bring your own device or borrow a laptop from one of our self-service lockers.聽
Our group study areas are equipped with the latest collaborative technologies, while we also offer silent reading zones when you really need to focus.

All students are offered formal or informal skills training at various points during their studies, and we also offer a range of drop-in sessions and bookable workshops.
On the ground floor you鈥檒l find the Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ), which provides a one stop shop for students who require help and advice about any aspect of university life.聽SEZ can be especially useful if you鈥檙e not sure where to go or who to ask when you need information or have a problem.聽Our friendly staff will be able to help you with many types of requests. If specialist support is required, we鈥檒l put you in direct contact with a member of staff or team who can help. If SEZ don鈥檛 know the answer, they鈥檒l know someone who does.
